Trevor was cool with allowing Joel to sit on his Sesame Street couch until Joel's foot ventured onto Trevor's half of the seat.

pipes and balls

Trevor has felt more connected to Joel now that they both use "pipes" (pacifiers). A doting big brother, Trevor will bring Joel's to him when he is crying. He also likes that many of Joel's outfits feature various types of balls. Here he is pointing out the football.

tummy time

Joel has been strengthening his neck muscles through tummy time. As you can see, he is surprised by his own flexibility.

memorial day (Trevor)

Trevor and I played blocks while Todd mowed the lawn. Later, Trevor went out to mow with his lawnmower and to splash in the pool with Todd.

Joel celebrated Memorial Day (also his two week birthday) by taking a nap in the swing and later in the bassinet - check out that hair!

oma leaves

Oma has been a God-send for the past 12 days helping out with Trevor, Joel, and other household duties (cooking, cleaning, gardening, etc). Today she returns home, and we will experience to the full extent how life is with 2 wee ones under the age of 2. Much to my mom's relief, Trevor did finally say "Ona" last night...we've been teasing all week that we'll have to change her name to Elmo so that Trevor will say it!

womb part 2

For the last 12 days, Joel has regretted his decision to enter into the world. However, the Moby sling has given him a way to "return to the womb."

It seems like we were just doing this with Trevor! (Trevor is in the green, and Joel is in the navy)

With the coming of summer, Trevor has joined Penny in window watching and in continually asking to be let out.

Life with a newborn and toddler can be hectic. To ease the transition, half the Bock family is here to help entertain Trevor and hold Joel. Papa built Trevor a swing set, Oma is making fantastic meals, and Erin is juggling her two favorite nephews. Now, what to do when the reinforcements leave...

homeward bound

Today we took Joel home and everyone is making the adjustment. His personality has been laid-back so far (Joel's that is...) and we are crossing our fingers for no colic this round :)

Joel Patrick...

...was born May 14, 2007 at 12:28 PM at 7 pounds 11 ounces and 20 3/4 inches long. Trevor is excited at the new "beh-BEH, beh-BEH," but has yet to realize this means he is no longer the only show in town.

Trevor is enjoying the last days of being an only child and having Mom all to himself. Here he is putting his baby "Cody" in and out of the shopping cart. I sure hope his brother isn't that large!

books

Trevor often flips through books. He likes to point out all of the trucks and balls.

Trevor celebrated our warm spell as of late by playing outside.

Trevor is certainly in for a surprise. He isn't quite getting the concept of a "baby in the belly." Although, he does enjoy poking my now "out-ty" belly button!

One of Trevor's favorite snacks is Cheerios and raisins. However, when the bowl spills, it is fair game for Penny ... much to the irritation of Trevor.

dinner break

Trevor didn't have an afternoon nap on this day and so needed a quick snooze during dinner.

in daddy's shoes

Trevor has taken to seeking out our shoes and taking them for a spin. While doing dishes, Todd happened to turn around and catch this little episode.

haircut

When we needed to use detangler post-bath, we knew it was time for a haircut. In order to distract Trevor, I cut his hair while he watched his favorite "Bear in the Big Blue House" dvd.

snow, stickers, and cheerios

Trevor had fun playing with Grandpa Tom and Oma this past weekend. He stomped in the snow, played with stickers, and fed Penny Cheerios from his truck.

veggie dip

Here's a picture of Trevor enjoying veggies and dip. Okay ... maybe just the dip part :)

ugly shoes

Trevor picked out this pair of sandal clogs in Michigan, and Grandpa Tom got them for him. They don't really match anything (except his tennis ball!) but he loves them and fishes them out to wear despite it being the middle of winter.
